I got to have my first Happy Meal today although I'm not sure I should be bragging about that! I thought it was OK, but Sophie (our dog) really enjoyed it. I also got a really neat toy with a doll. I liked her so much I gave her a big hug. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Fun New Toy
Since I don't have near enough toys Mom thought she would buy me a new one. This zebra is especially fun because I can bounce and spin while it plays music. I've also been practicing for the new baby (not that I know that's what I'm doing). I think I will be pretty good at feeding it a bottle. We find out Tuesday afternoon if it is a brother or a sister - I can't wait!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!
Today was Daddy's 28th birthday and we got to celebrate with an ice cream cake! It was also a celebration because I have been sick since Sunday, but am finally feeling better. We topped off the day with an ice cold beer. (For those of you wondering, I'm just pretending. Dad said I still have thirty years before I can drink.)

Half Hillbilly
Our neighbors always make fun of me because I am from Arkansas, so when they see Kayla and I outside without any shoes it really cracks them up. Since Kayla's new thing is to have one shoe on and one shoe off I told them she is only "half hillbilly". (In case you didn't notice, her other new thing is not wearing pants.) I also included a picture of her smiling for the camera - what a ham!
Friends
Our friends Jorja, Jacque and Candy came to visit us from Cozad on Friday. We had so much fun eating lunch and shopping all afternoon. Jorja was so nice to share some of her snacks with me. I wish I got to see her more often - I learn so much every time she is around. After they headed home I tried on some boots Jorja is letting me borrow. They were a little big and hot, but I loved them so much I didn't want to take them off! Hope to see you all again soon!

Miss Fix It
Well, Mom broke the TV on Monday. We couldn't turn it off or change the volume. Who knows what she did to it, but I had to wait for Dad to get home so we could fix it. I probably could have done it on my own, but Mom wanted me to wait just to make sure I did it right. Thank goodness I am around to help take care of these things!

It was such a nice day here in Lincoln on Saturday that we decided to go to the zoo. This trip was extra special because it was the first time Dad got to go with me. I looked at the squirrel monkeys for a long time with Dad. I think he understood why I like them so much - they are always on the go like me! I also got the feed the goats for the first time. Mom thought I might like it since I am always bringing Sophie her food and she was right! My favorite was a black baby sheep named Freddie. We went into the butterfly garden and Dad held a butterfly for me so I could check it out. I was really more interested in the rocks and water than the butterflies. I also watched Dad feed a camel - those things stink! We finished our morning with lunch downtown and ice cream. Mom got a pretty flower at lunch, but gave it to me. I carried it with me everywhere so it was pretty beat up by the end of the day. I was exhausted when nap time finally rolled around and took the longest nap I may have ever taken!

Music and Mozzarella
We went downtown to meet Dad after work today to head to the Children's Museum. Every Thursday during the summer they have pizza and a band. We got to listen to a reggae band tonight, but I had a much better time playing in the dirt with my friends Ryder and Addy and inside the museum with Dad. I had a great time flying the plane so I guess Rusty might have to teach me everything he knows. There may be another pilot in the family!

15 month check
I can't believe I am already 15 months old! We went to the doctor today and I am really growing fast. I weighed 22lbs, 11oz, which is the 50th percentile and was 32 1/4" long, which is the 90th percentile. Looks like I will be tall and skinny like Dad. I had to get two shots, but now I only have one left until I go to school. They took some blood out of my finger to check my iron level again and I have to say that I was pretty brave. I cried a little, but then I watched the lady squeezing the blood out. Maybe I'll be a doctor when I grow up. They had some pretty neat toys to play with while we were waiting. Of course my favorites were the truck and the train.

Daddy's Little Helper
Dad has been busy putting the finishing touches on the pergola and I try to get out and help him as often as possible. He says I'm a much better helper than Mom. I really like all of Dad's tools and one of my favorite places to play is in the garage. I'm rarely outside for more than five minutes without being covered in dirt! Mom would like to put bows in my hair, but I tell her they would just get in the way of all the work I need to get done around here. I think she's lucky enough that I will wear a dress!

First trip to the pool
It was a nice day here in Lincoln so we decided to take our first trip to the swimming pool. I have to say I wasn't a big fan at first. I think I was overwhelmed at how big it was, but once Mom got in with me I was OK. The water was still really cold and Mom and Dad decided it was time to get out when my teeth started chattering. The best part was getting to play in the sand after we dried off. Looks like Dad has another project to get started on - I need a sandbox!

Happy 4th of July!
I had a great 4th of July this year. We went to our neighbor's house and had lots of yummy food and got to watch some awesome fireworks from their driveway. Mom and Dad let me stay up late, but said it may be the last time that happens. I was still up at my normal time this morning and was really cranky. We missed Grammy and Grandpa Doug, but hopefully we can see you all soon!
