My neighbor Meredith will be 9 months old in about a week, but she's already pretty tough! She really likes to play with me and I know she is a baby so I let her do whatever she wants. I just hope she understands that I can't let this go on forever!

Beat up by a 8 month old?
My neighbor Meredith will be 9 months old in about a week, but she's already pretty tough! She really likes to play with me and I know she is a baby so I let her do whatever she wants. I just hope she understands that I can't let this go on forever!
I Love Water!
I love everything about water! Baths, washing my hands, playing in the rain, washing dishes - anything to get wet! Good thing they have water at the Children's Museum. We have to be sure to stop by there for a little while every time we are there. Unfortunately for Mom I can reach the water all by myself now so she has lost a little control on how wet I get. Thankfully they provide ponchos!
Bed Time!
Mom and Dad were hoping I would get attached to something to make bed time easier soon and it finally happened! After a couple of weeks of grabbing random things I finally decided that every night I would get my duck and my blanket to read books before going to bed. Mom and Dad's friends Eric (Duc) and Lauren gave me the duck so I want you all to know it's being put to good use! Dad took over bed time about a month ago so I'm used to it before my baby sister gets here. I go to bed much easier for him than poor Mom - I don't know why they didn't try this a long time ago!
Sad Little Bumble Bee
The first time we tried on Kayla's Halloween costume she loved it and cried when we took it off. When we tried to put it on for Sunday School last Sunday she threw a fit and wanted nothing to do with it even though all her other friends were dressed up. I was so glad we didn't actually buy a costume, but borrowed it from our friend Jorja. This was the only picture I got of her in it before we had to break down and take it off. Looks like a happy camper doesn't she!
Time for a little catch up!
Mom hasn't been taking as many pictures as normal lately so we've fallen a little behind on keeping everyone up to date. We went to pick up Uncle Tom from the airport a couple of weeks ago and I had a blast riding up and down the escalator and climbing the stairs with Daddy. I also thought the plane hanging from the ceiling was pretty neat too. I always get to see them in the sky, but I never thought I would see one in real life! Of course we have still been going to the museum. What a lifesaver for Mom! I find something new and fun to do every time we are there. Last week I really liked playing with the footballs and volleyballs.

What was she thinking?
I was doing something in the living room the other day and I hear Kayla playing in Sophie's food. I told her to stop a couple of times before I finally looked at her and this is what I saw. I hadn't laughed so hard in a long time. I have no idea where she got the idea to put the tongs on her face, but she thought it was pretty funny too!

Church Hay Ride
Well, we actually missed the hay ride because we were too late for the first one and the second one was pretty close to my bedtime so Mom and Dad decided they didn't want to chance a breakdown. I don't like to sit still anyway so I had just as much fun playing at the campfire. Mom and I roasted marshmallows, I tried hot chocolate for the first time (and poured it down the front of my shirt because I like to do everything by myself) and saw a real, live owl! A lot of my friends from church were there so it was fun to run around the big logs and find sticks. Maybe we will make the hay ride next year!
My Friend Jorja
My friend Jorja came to see me again this weekend. I always have so much fun when I'm with her. I like to watch her do big girl things so I can try them out myself. I wish she lived closer so I could play with her more often! Neither one of us sit still for very long, so Mom had to settle for some action shots. I think we were both worn out by the end of the night!

More Fun at LCM
I'm finding more and more fun things to do while at the Children's Museum. I had a lot of fun playing in the vet's office and taking the dog for a walk. I also had fun playing with the big shapes again and especially climbing in the "choo". But this time, the best of all was banging on the water jugs. They all made different sounds so I was able to make lots of great music!
Discovering Honey Mustard
Mom and I made a trip to the mall last week and had a bite to eat while we were there. One of my new favorite things is to dip my food into anything possible. Mom got some honey mustard with her meal so I decided I better try it - it was delicious! I started using my chicken more as a spoon than anything else. I think honey mustard has made it to my top three dips along with ketchup and guacamole.
