Park Fun

Here are some pictures from a couple of trips to our neighborhood park. The swing is still my favorite attraction, but I am mastering everything else also. Lexi loves to swing with me and then gets to watch me do everything else. Sometimes Mom helps her slide with me, but she doesn't pick up her feet so it slows me down!

In the "tunnel".

Taking Tricia, my constant companion, to enjoy the park.

Sweet little Lexi

Showing Tricia how fun it is to swing.

I Must Have Been Sick

Here is a rare picture of me sitting down and being still! I had a temperature that day, but it was so nice we had to go outside for a little while. I was actually acting normal for most of the day, but as soon as Mom saw this she knew I must be sick!

Fourth of July Fun!

Here's the Fourth of July - only a month late. I would provide commentary, but it's been so long I don't remember any of it!

Summer Bash

A couple of weeks ago (doesn't Mom start every post like that?) a local church had a summer bash with lots of cool free things to do. Most of you know I have a pretty cautious personality, especially around strangers, so we just thought we would go see what it was all about. The horses were the first things we saw when we walked in. Mom really didn't think I would ride them, but I did great! I was really hoping my eyes wouldn't swell shut when I got near them like Dad's did when he was a little boy and it must have been my lucky day! Mom picked out the smallest horse, Token, since she was afraid I would be a little uneasy, but I did great! Things looked promising for the rest of the day, but as you will see, they quickly went down hill.

Holding Mom's hand starting off.

Doing it all by myself!

Cool, calm and collected while preparing to ride the train.
It appears that I'm going to enjoy myself.

Bracing myself and the others for the screams to come.
I didn't know they were actually going to drive me away from Mom and Dad!
They had to stop the train to let me out.

This is the closest I got to jumping in the bounce house.
At least I got in?

Not enjoying the fire truck.

Gazing longingly at the slide for the big kids,
confident I want to try it.

Still convincing myself and Dad that I want to do it.

Hmmm . . . now I'm not so sure.

Dad throwing me on some crazy girl's lap kicking and screaming.

She didn't care about my protests,
she forced me down the slide anyway.

I did it.

Mom: "Was that fun Kayla?"
Me: "No." (insert whine)
Drawing pictures with the chalk was much more my speed.

Lexi enjoying herself as usual.

Listening to a live band while eating supper.

Children's Museum

Lexi has fun wherever she goes, even the bathroom!

Lexi finally got a chance to have some fun at the Children's Museum! We usually go in the morning and Lexi sleeps most of the time, but last week we went after our afternoon naps so she could join in the fun! I really didn't mind spending time in "Toddler Town" since I hadn't been in there for a while, but I hope she learns to walk really soon. There is a lot more fun stuff for her to see!

Swimming!

Helping Lexi stand up her first time in the pool.

See sister, it's fun!

Lexi having fun splashing - I wasn't too crazy about it!

It was so hot and humid around here a couple of weeks ago, the only thing we could do outside was swim! Lexi got to enjoy her first time in the pool and she LOVED it! I went down the slide many times, but each time I had the same terrified look on my face. I'm sure I'll get many more chances to get used to it this summer!

Bath Time!

Here are a few pictures of all the fun we have been having in the bath the past couple of weeks! We actually took a bath together for the first time yesterday, but Mom thought it would probably be pretty embarrassing to have naked pictures of us on here. However, she does have them saved on her computer for blackmail someday, like when we bring our dates home.
