Sisters

I love it when Lexi rides on my shoulders, but Mom or Dad have to have a good hold on her because as soon as she sits down I take off running down the hall!  It's so fun to be able to see ourselves in the mirror!

Lexi also likes to hold on to my hair as a precaution, but I don't mind.

We were all dressed up for our neighbors wedding so Mom had to take advantage of the occasion and get some pictures.  Thankfully we were pretty cooperative.

I grew attached to this bear "Maggie" for a couple of days and insisted she be in the picture also.

We have a ponytail!

And I am soooo excited!

Whistle While You Work

I was probably singing, but you get the idea.  Mom keeps such a neat and tidy house inside (insert joke here), I had to venture to Dad's realm to find something to clean.

Lovely Lexi

I've Got a Song in My Heart

If any of you have talked to Mom on the phone recently you probably noticed I am singing all day long.  I rolled out of bed last weekend and went outside to help Dad (pajamas and all) and flaked on him.  I decided to grab my "Jesus Book", commonly known as a Baby Bible to others, and sing a few songs.  As you can see the concert didn't stop in the front yard, but continued to the back.  "Jesus Loves Me" is one of my personal favorites, but I also take requests.  I'm adding new songs to my catalog daily so your favorite may be next!

Cereal!!!

Lexi's first time in the high chair.

Kayla's first time in the high chair.
What a difference a kid makes!

First bite of cereal

Kayla had to jump in on the action.
Notice the open mouth.

Coming back for more

Mom wasn't quick enough with the spoon so I decided to gnaw on the tray for a while

Big sister helping out again (with an open mouth).

Dad getting in on the action.

Since Mom has been lacking in the pictures of Lexi department, she decided to make this one all about her, well almost.  She did put a comparison of the two of us in the high chair for the first time and there are pictures of me feeding her, so actually it's not all about her, but it's as good as it's going to get.  Poor second child, she never gets anything all to herself like I did. Back to business, I can't believe how much bigger Lexi looks in the high chair than I did!  She loved her cereal, which is not at all surprising, and will probably try some sweet potatoes this weekend - YUM!!!

Museum!

I can't tell you how happy Dad was to see pictures of me playing with Legos.  He was a big Lego fan when he was a little boy and he has boxes of them downstairs just waiting for me to get big enough to play with them.  I asked to have my face painted for the first time this trip.  Mom did one cheek and I did the other.  I really don't think you could tell who did what.  I think I'll take Daddy next time, I know he could do something really cool.  Mom is good at lots of things, like making me sandwiches and cleaning up my messes, but drawing is not her strong suit.

Our new ride!

Check out our new stroller!  We have to send a big thank you to Rusty and Nanni for the new wheels!  As you can see there are all kinds of ways to adjust the seats and there is another red seat like mine waiting for Lexi once she is big enough to use it.  It's so easy for Mom to use and we have gotten to enjoy it almost every day since we bought it - minus the rainy ones.

Springtime Fun

As you can see from the pictures, the weather here in Nebraska is as crazy as usual.  In mid-April (since Mom is behind as usual) we wore short sleeves one day and a coat the next.  We are hoping the warm weather is here to stay for good this time!  Swinging is still my favorite thing to do at the park, but I am starting to branch out and will go down the slide a few times.  I even go down the big tornado slide all by myself!  I had to give my neighbor Meredith a lift the other day.  Since I don't have a side cart she had to hop on the back, but beggars can't be choosers!  I still love worms but am scared to death of bugs - go figure.  Oh, and Lexi is good.  I guess you will just have to take my word for it since Mom doesn't have any pictures of her in this post!
