These are a few of my favorite things

Mom was cooking dinner the other night so I decided to take some pictures. This is what Mom found. In case you are wondering, these are the "Cars" cars. They are my new obsession and at least one of them is with me constantly. They have taken residence in my dollhouse and have shared many adventures with me already. I have recently added more to my collection so I will be sure and include photos of them soon.

"Lightning McQueen"

"Guido"

"Doc"

Coloring

I will give you $5 if you can guess my favorite color just by looking at these three pictures. I LOVE PURPLE!!! Mom and Dad keep painting different rooms in the house and even though they just painted mine a year ago, they finally agreed to repaint it. I think what sealed the deal was when we were at Sherwin Williams, I handed them a purple swatch and told them purple makes me happy. They considered painting the entire house purple if that is the case, but have decided against it for now. However, we hear age three can be worse than two, so they are keeping it in the back of their mind. The top color in my room is "Divine White" which I don't care too much for, but the bottom color is "Obi Lilac" and it's beautiful! Once Mom and Dad get my chair rail up we will post pictures.

Lexi likes to color too!

Christmas Blizzard 2009

The day after Christmas I got all suited up and headed outside for some snow fun. I didn't have to step too far out the door to find all I needed. We got another 9-12" on top of the previous snow that hadn't even melted yet. Everyone was out sledding on our street, but we didn't get any pictures of that because I think the adults were having more fun than the kids! It was kind of nice to just play by the house because it blocked the wind and I could "sled" down the snow bank.

This drift was up to Mom's shoulders.

Christmas 2009

We woke up Christmas morning to snow, wind and presents from Santa! All I asked for was a purple present and look what I got! Crazy thing is after asking for a purple present for a month it took Mom and Dad an hour to get me to open it - I was too busy playing with the doll house Santa brought for me and Lexi. We were supposed to head to Mullen to celebrate with the Youngs the next day, but the blizzard shut down the interstate. We get to celebrate with them at the end of January so more Christmas pictures to come!

Looking through my binoculars
(the wrong way, but don't try telling me that).

It's just like mine!

Christmas Eve 2009

We braved the looming Christmas blizzard to head out for Christmas Eve service, can't you see how excited I was - I was flashing my best smile! When the wind blew us back home we opened our presents from Mom and Dad since Santa would be coming the next morning. Santa must have arrived at our house late since I was too excited to go to sleep. Mom checked on me after 11 pm and I was still awake! I was determined to stay up and see the jolly old fella, but I must have drifted off soon after that.

Merry Christmas!

Patiently waiting to open my gifts.

Lexi opening hers.

Dora books!!!

Lexi still opening hers.

Scholars.
I don't know why Mom and Dad got us anything
else. We were perfectly content with just books.

Lexi getting help with the next one.
We were all tired of waiting.

Still reading my Dora books.
Seriously, Mom and Dad will remember
this for next year. Books only.

that Dad picked out.

Finally got around to opening my sleeping bag.

Once Upon a Village

A couple of local churches here get together and have a reenactment of Bethlehem on the night Jesus was born. We went last year and enjoyed it so much that we decided to make it a yearly tradition. What a great way to remember the reason for the season!
