Morrill Hall

Our church has held services at a few different locations this summer including Morrill Hall which is a natural science museum. After services we were able to walk around the museum and explore. It was our first time there so there was lots to see!

9 Months Old!!!

Hip Hip Hooray! Lexi is nine months old! She went to the doctor today and everything looked great. She is 28 3/4 inches long and weighs 20 pounds, 7 ounces. She is in the 75-90% for each category so at least she's proportioned! She only had to get one shot today so it wasn't too traumatic, especially for me, I just watched.

I'm not smiling Mom.
I know I'm going to the doctor
and getting a shot.

OK, fine. I'll give you a little smile,
but this is IT!

Oh forget it! I'm too happy not to smile!

Lancaster County Fair 2009

It's hard to believe that at the fair last year Lexi was in Mommy's tummy and now she is almost nine months old! It's also hard to believe that all this text is underlined and Mom can't do anything to fix it.
We had to ride the carousel twice.

I love feeding the animals.

Apparently Lexi was almost eaten by a llama while
Mom was taking this picture. Thankfully some
nice strangers stepped in to save her.

Continuing my love affair with geese.
Dad pulling me away.
Don't you think this picture looks familiar?

Dad trying to ruin my fun at the fair last year.
He's such a nervous Nellie.

Lexi at the scene of last year's incident.
Notice how Dad is keeping her at a safe distance.

I'm an all or nothing kind of gal

Normally when I paint I don't really like to get my hands very dirty. In fact, last time I did a finger painting, it was totally comprised of small dots made by my two index fingers. This time, however, is a much different story.

Starting out a little messier than usual,
but nothing to write home about.

What a great idea Mom!
I would like to make hand prints.

Maybe I'll just shove my whole hand in there.

Maybe I'll just shove them both in.

WOW.
Amazingly I didn't get any on myself!

Tricia: My Constant Companion

Tricia is the coolest chick I know. She does what I tell her to do and never argues with me. She often accompanies me to the park, the store, the swimming pool, the sandbox, the stroller, the dinner table, bed and much to her dismay, the potty. Mom is considering investing in a replacement Tricia just in case she should meet an untimely demise.

This is supposed to be a play mat for Tricia
to lay on, but I find it is much more
convenient to use as a sling to haul her around.

Gotta keep her fed since she's on the go so much.

I took this picture (with Daddy's help)

No one helped me with this one
(in case you couldn't tell)

Trago Park

Feeding Geese

We went to try out a local park recently and we had to take a little time to feed the geese and ducks. Mom didn't come prepared, but we happened to have some pretzels in the diaper bag to give away. These geese weren't as friendly as the ones we saw at the family reunion, or maybe they just don't like pretzels, but I do!

Here they are!

Try one guys, you'll like it!

I guess I'll eat the rest.

Lincoln Saltdogs!!!

Don't ask me what a Saltdog is, I have no idea! All I know is that Homer looks like a regular dog to me - nothing salty about him. However, I LOVE Homer and it's rare for me to do things out of my comfort zone so getting a ball signed without holding Mom or Dad's hand was a big deal. They also have an awesome playground at the baseball park and I was brave enough to play with the big kids! We ended up leaving the game just as the Saltdogs tied it up at the bottom of the eighth inning. Good thing we did - it lasted five more innings!

See me holding up my pretty pink baseball?

Homer handing it back to me.

Playing at the playground.
Do you see my orange shoes?
Of course you do, how could you miss them!

Where's Lexi???
I'm letting her hold my ball while I play.
I'm nice like that.

It was such an unusually cool July evening that
Lexi had to wear pants and long sleeves!
