A couple of weeks ago (doesn't Mom start every post like that?) a local church had a summer bash with lots of cool free things to do. Most of you know I have a pretty cautious personality, especially around strangers, so we just thought we would go see what it was all about. The horses were the first things we saw when we walked in. Mom really didn't think I would ride them, but I did great! I was really hoping my eyes wouldn't swell shut when I got near them like Dad's did when he was a little boy and it must have been my lucky day! Mom picked out the smallest horse, Token, since she was afraid I would be a little uneasy, but I did great! Things looked promising for the rest of the day, but as you will see, they quickly went down hill.

Holding Mom's hand starting off.

Doing it all by myself!

Cool, calm and collected while preparing to ride the train.
It appears that I'm going to enjoy myself.
Bracing myself and the others for the screams to come.
I didn't know they were actually going to drive me away from Mom and Dad!
They had to stop the train to let me out.

This is the closest I got to jumping in the bounce house.
At least I got in?

Not enjoying the fire truck.
Gazing longingly at the slide for the big kids,
confident I want to try it.
Still convincing myself and Dad that I want to do it.
Hmmm . . . now I'm not so sure.
Dad throwing me on some crazy girl's lap kicking and screaming.

She didn't care about my protests,
she forced me down the slide anyway.

I did it.
Mom: "Was that fun Kayla?"
Me: "No." (insert whine)
Drawing pictures with the chalk was much more my speed.
Lexi enjoying herself as usual.

Listening to a live band while eating supper.
