Last night we went to a church in Lincoln that recreates the city of Bethlehem at the time of Jesus's birth. It was pretty amazing to see how much work they put into it and how all the volunteers stay in character as you are walking throughout the city. The first person I saw walking in was a Roman soldier and I was not impressed. I made Dad carry me the rest of the time because I wasn't sure what would be coming up around the next corner. Mom promised we would see live animals and they had a donkey, goats, a cow and a camel. I was excited when we got to the end because they had a real, live baby playing Jesus! I had to look in the car seat to make sure they didn't have my baby Lexi. I went to give the baby Jesus the coin they gave us when we entered the city and it melted Mom's heart - until she found out it was Dad's coin - I couldn't give mine up! At least I didn't keep them both for myself! Lexi slept the entire time, but I bet we both enjoy it more next year.
